In my role at Touro University, I specialize in managing web content and ensuring digital accessibility. I help maintain the highest standards of web accessibility, complying with WCAG guidelines. I actively monitor website performance using web analytics, conduct detailed quality assurance checks for content accuracy, and manage the accessibility of various digital formats. My work involves regular content updates and collaboration to create an inclusive and accessible online environment.
Traderware
Volunteer Graphic Designer
June 2024 – August 2024
I volunteered at Traderware, a software company that specializes in developing AI-powered trading and social software solutions. I collaborated closely with the Director of Brand and Creative, as well as the Marketing Team to develop high-quality graphics, design system components, and create engaging social media content using Adobe Suite and Figma. My responsibilities also included redesigning the Traderverse website's layout and content strategy to optimize user experience and effectively communicate brand's vision.
Welcomed By Design
Web Designer & Sound Designer
Sep 2022 – April 2023
Welcomed By Design, a podcast backed by the University of Pittsburgh’s Digital Narrative and Interactive Design program explores how to make the future of design more accessible and inclusive by hearing from people working as advocates, practitioners, and researchers and learning how we can make every mind and body feel more welcomed by design. I conducted post-production editing of material and interviews, designed soundscapes and built transcripts for episode supplements. I also researched, implemented and managed multistep processes for accessible audio content. As Web Designer I developed wireframes, prototyped, user tested and produced content for the Welcomed By Design site.
The Pitt News
Web Developer
April 2022 – April 2023
As the web developer for The Pitt News, the student-run newspaper for the University of Pittsburgh, I was responsible for managing and updating the website, uploading ads, and updating stories, media, and other content. I worked closely with the editorial staff to help bring their ideas to life through strategic design and collaboration. I was passionate about designing and brainstorming new ways to increase interactivity and improve the overall UI/UX of the site and developed new initiatives to work towards ensuring accessibility.
CGI
UX/ Product Design and Business Strategy Intern
Jun 2022– Aug 2022
During my time at CGI, an IT and business consulting services firm, I assisted in the creation and updating of project production work in a client-facing consulting context. I applied human-centered design methods to understand and visualize information, helped plan and assist in client working sessions, synthesized information and feedback from working sessions into action items, created compelling and cohesive UI/UX designs, and produced deliverables that tell a design story. I also worked both collaboratively and independently to build workflows, wireframes, prototypes, etc., and gained strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, as well as proficiency in new software.
Kappa Delta Sorority
Director of Social Media and Marketing
Apr 2022 – April 2023
As the director of social media and marketing for Kappa Delta Sorority at the University of Pittsburgh, I managed each chapter’s social media accounts and website, completed necessary marketing reports, partnered with the governing council and executive board members to advertise events, and created a database of posts to promote inclusive practices within the posted content. I also oversaw a PR team, with whom I collaborated and delegated tasks. I was able to utilize my in-depth understanding and application of social media best practices through planning and execution, all while maintaining a cohesive design aesthetic.
Learning Research and Development Center
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Mar 2021 – Jan 2022
The LRDC aims to advance the science of learning by bringing together researchers from the cognitive, developmental, social, educational, and computational sciences. I worked specifically in the Future Adaptive Collaborative Educational Technology (FACET) Lab and was able to work on three projects involving research on the effects of social robots and intelligent agents on learning. Each study investigates different forms of human-robot interaction in relation to education. These projects included the NRI Project which focused on designing effective dialogue, gaze, and gesture behaviors in a social robot that supports collaborative learning, a gesture elicitation study to remotely crowdsource gestures reflective of participant’s gesture behaviors, and the Ubiquitous Collaboration Support (UbiCoS) Study which is a collaborative learning environment deployed in a middle school classroom. I was connected to this opportunity through PittInclusion. PittInclusion is an undergraduate research program in collaboration with Google’s exploreCSR program that aims to foster a supportive, encouraging learning environment for historically underrepresented students in computer science. As an undergraduate research assistant, I observed study sessions and assisted with data cleaning, organization, and analysis, participated in study design, learned about and used a variety of statistical analysis methods, developed a codebook, and assisted with qualitatively coding transcripts along with video data from study recordings. Throughout my time at the LRDC I learned more about human-computer interaction (HCI), machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and natural language processing (NLP) principles.
The Hunger Project
Design and Coding Intern
Feb 2021– Aug 2021
The Hunger Project is a global, non-profit, strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. As a design and coding intern, I built a platform for a run/walk fundraiser where participants could find information about the fundraiser, register, log hours, and upload media as well as facilitated demo sessions to teach staff and participants how to use the platform and creating a guide to include in the event toolkit for participants to easily reference. I actively supported many facets of communication and marketing through THP branding, as well as planned and implemented content for virtual events, workshops, newsletters, and projects. I also designed, developed, and updated websites and platforms for different projects.
